North Georgia Technical College is seeking a part-time Driver's Education Instructor to deliver state-approved classroom instruction and behind-the-wheel training. The role emphasizes safety, classroom engagement, and adherence to Georgia laws, including Joshua's Law requirements.

The instructor will use approved curricula, evaluate student progress, and maintain records while coordinating with students, parents, and staff across campuses. A strong driving history and MVR are required.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree from an accredited institution.
• Seven (7) years of work experience.
• Must have held a valid driver's license for a minimum of ten (10) years.
• Clear Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).
• Ability to pass DOT physical, pre-employment and random drug testing, and complete a state-approved Driver Education Instructor Qualification course and pass all required examinations.

Responsibilities

• Teaching state-approved driver education classroom courses using approved materials that meet the requirements of Joshua's Law.
• Providing one-on-one behind-the-wheel instruction in an approved driver education vehicle.
• Instructing students on vehicle operation, defensive driving, traffic laws, and safe driving practices.
• Strong commitment to student safety and welfare.
• Evaluating student performance and maintaining required records.
• Using Microsoft Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint for communication and instruction.
• Maintaining a safe, positive, and professional learning environment.
• Working collaboratively with students, parents, and colleagues.
