Job summary

Adams and Associates, Inc. is seeking a part-time instructor to teach safe driving skills to students at IndyPendence – Indianapolis, IN.

You will conduct behind-the-wheel instruction, administer tests, and deliver state-approved curriculum to ensure student safety and compliance with traffic laws. The role focuses on preparing lessons, maintaining orderly classrooms, and guiding students toward successful completion of driver-permit requirements.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Advanced degrees preferred.
• Must be certified to teach driving skills in the state (if applicable).
• Must possess a valid in-state Driver’s License and meet insurability requirements.
• Previous drivers education experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follows integrity guidelines and ensures no manipulation of student data.
• Coordinates driver permits and licenses for students.
• Maintains organized classrooms conducive to student learning and enforces dress code/behavior standards.
• Contributes to a welcoming culture, supporting students’ personal and career goals.
• Produces quality work, assignments, and timely results.
• Maintains attendance, accountability and productivity standards.
• Plans, prioritizes and organizes assignments to meet goals and deadlines.
• Applies job knowledge to complete responsibilities and maintains required skills.
• Mentors and models Career Success Standards as required by PRH.
• Provides high-quality supervision for students and influences behavior positively.
• Delivers quality programs and services, pursuing continuous improvement.
• Communicates ideas clearly, both orally and in writing, with relevant stakeholders.
• Identifies problems, analyzes causes and evaluates solutions before actions.
• Collaborates with staff to ensure effective supervision and services for students.
• Accepts direction from Center Director/Shift Manager and may cover other departments.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education

High School diploma or equivalent
