Job summary

Career Systems Development Corporation is seeking a dependable transportation and maintenance associate to support students at the center in Roswell, NM. You will transport students to vocational sites, medical centers, and activities while performing general maintenance tasks and ensuring vehicle cleanliness.

The role requires a valid driver's license, a CDL/passenger bus endorsement, and the ability to read and write in English.

Qualifications

• Some high school; ability to fluently read and write English.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and qualify for company sponsored vehicle insurance.
• Must have or immediately seek CDL/ Passenger bus endorsement.
• Six months work-related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain positive relationships with co-workers.
• Transport students by bus and automobile to various vocational sites, medical centers, recreational activities, courts, etc.
• Inspect vehicles and report any mechanical issues to Lead Driver/Dispatcher or Facilities Manager.
• May supervise students on activities such as recreation, medical appointments, shopping trips, etc.
• Maintain the cleanliness of all Center vehicles.
• Inspect and report on the mechanical condition of vehicles.
• Perform maintenance worker or custodian duties as needed (grounds keeping, snow removal).
• Attend required staff training sessions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Adheres to all Department of Labor and Career Systems Development policies and procedures, and the Center Operating Procedures.
• Transport students by bus and automobile to various vocational sites, medical centers, recreational activities, courts, etc.
• Transports equipment and/or commodities to the center.
• Inspects vehicles and reports any mechanical issues to Lead Driver/Dispatcher or Facilities Manager.
• May supervise students on various activities, such as recreation, medical appointments, shopping trips, etc.
• Maintains the cleanliness of all Center vehicles.

Requirements:

Knowledge: Must possess valid State driver’s license and commercial driver’s license with passenger bus endorsement. Ability to obtain CPR/First Aid certificate. Ability to operate power tools.
