Position Purpose:

The Shred-it Swing Driver provides industry-leading service to our clients, handling all document destruction needs. They cover routes during team members' vacations or absences, including remote transfer locations. The Driver is a key member of the Operations team and the face of Shred-it, maintaining Stericycle’s policies, standards, and values.

Key Job Activities:

1. Performs onsite and offsite document destruction of confidential information.
2. Conducts pre- and post-trip checks, manages driver check-in, and reports maintenance issues.
3. Operates equipment safely and efficiently to minimize injury and damage.
4. Follows laws governing driver fitness and hours, maintains DOT logs if applicable.
5. Ensures security when handling confidential materials, services accounts using handheld devices, and maintains accurate records.
6. Manages routes to ensure timely and accurate service of customer materials.
7. Responds promptly to customer inquiries and issues.
8. Performs additional duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

Preferred: High School diploma or equivalent. 3+ years of driving experience, preferably with Shred or Box Trucks. Valid driver’s license with an excellent record. Ability to obtain a Medical Examiner's Certificate. Ability to meet immunization and credentialing requirements as needed. Non-native English speakers must be proficient in English for safety and reporting purposes.
