Scope of Position

The James Network of Outreach Services provides ambulatory care for the diagnosis of breast and lung cancer. The Registration Coordinator is responsible for arranging the necessary testing, consultation, and information gathering to facilitate achievement of positive patient care outcomes. These mobile healthcare coaches travel throughout central and remote Ohio locations.

This position will require the employee to operate mobile vehicles or van(s) - this includes a 40-ft mobile healthcare RV-style coach and 40-foot standard box-style healthcare coach in compliance with state laws and – upon reaching the work location – register patients as they arrive to receive services. The duration of events varies.

Minimum Qualifications for Hire:

• Must hold a current Ohio driver’s license
• Must hold a current Ohio CDL (or acquire within four months from date of hire). The department will provide additional training.
• High school diploma or GED required
• Strong reading, writing, and simple math skills required
• Previous healthcare or service-oriented field experience in an ambulatory healthcare setting preferred
• Customer service experience and effective communication skills
• Skill in using appropriate office automation technology
• Ability to work with several variables at one time, communicate and work in a diverse population of customers and colleagues, assess questions and give appropriate information and/or referral, define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
