Job summary

zTrip is seeking a Driver Recruiter & Retention Manager to lead recruiting, onboarding, and retention for our driver network. You will develop strategies, source candidates, conduct interviews, and build a strong pipeline.

You will coach drivers, foster engagement, and partner with operations to improve the driver experience. This role blends talent acquisition with driver advocacy and career development.

Key Responsibilities of a Driver Recruiter & Retention Manager:

Driver Recruiting & Hiring

• Develop and execute recruiting strategies to attract qualified driver candidates.
• Source applicants through job boards, social media, referrals, community partnerships, and networking opportunities.
• Conduct candidate screenings, interviews, and hiring assessments.
• Manage candidates throughout the recruitment and selection process.
• Build and maintain a strong pipeline of prospective drivers.
• Represent zTrip at hiring events, job fairs, and community outreach programs.
• Promote zTrip as a premier transportation career opportunity.

Driver Onboarding & Integration

• Coordinate onboarding activities for newly contracted drivers.
• Guide applicants through documentation, licensing, and onboarding requirements.
• Ensure drivers receive the resources, tools, and support needed for a successful launch.
• Educate new drivers on company expectations, procedures, technology, and operational practices.
• Serve as a primary contact during the onboarding process and transition period.
• Monitor onboarding progress and provide ongoing support to improve early retention.

Driver Retention & Engagement

• Build meaningful relationships with drivers throughout their journey with zTrip.
• Conduct regular follow-up meetings and check-ins with new and experienced drivers.
• Identify concerns, challenges, and opportunities that impact driver satisfaction and retention.
• Collaborate with operational teams to address driver needs and improve the overall driver experience.
• Create and implement recognition programs that celebrate driver achievements and milestones.
• Foster a positive culture centered on professionalism, communication, accountability, and success.

Coaching & Performance Support

• Provide coaching and mentorship to help drivers maximize their success.
• Offer guidance related to customer service, business growth, professionalism, and operational excellence.
• Support ongoing learning and development initiatives.
• Help drivers navigate challenges and connect them with available resources.
• Encourage continuous improvement through constructive feedback and goal setting.

Reporting & Workforce Development

• Maintain accurate recruiting, onboarding, and retention records.
• Track recruitment metrics, driver activity, and retention performance.
• Analyze trends and recommend strategies to improve hiring and retention outcomes.
• Prepare reports and updates for leadership.
• Partner with management to identify workforce needs and support business growth objectives.
• Continuously evaluate and improve recruiting, onboarding, and engagement processes.

Qualifications of a Driver Recruiter & Retention Manager:

Preferred Experience

• Recruiting, talent acquisition, human resources, employee engagement, workforce development, customer service, sales, operations, or related experience.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
• Experience coaching, mentoring, or supporting individuals in achieving professional success.
