Qualifications

• In-depth knowledge of Chapters 3, 6, 7, 11 of the Illinois Vehicle Code.
• Ability to interpret laws and apply procedures to driving records.
• Experience reviewing conviction reports and related driving records.
• Proficient in drafting technical correspondence and reports.
• Strong written and oral communication skills for public and court use.
• Ability to exercise independent judgment in applying regulations.

Responsibilities

• Review conviction reports and notices to determine sanctions like suspension or CDL actions.
• Draft technical correspondence and respond to inquiries about driving records.
• Testify in court about driving record actions when required.
• Authorize denial or invalidation of driving privileges per court orders.
• Work on a facility hotline to analyze records and respond to inquiries.
• Update driving records and instruct proof required for sanctions.
• Analyze abstracts for temporary visitor driver’s licenses and verifications.
• Coordinate with SSA to resolve Social Security verification issues.
