Job summary

The Good Samaritan Society, part of the Sanford Health network, is seeking a driver responsible for transporting patients and residents, while maintaining safety and confidentiality. This role requires strong communication and excellent customer service, with adherence to DOT and internal reporting procedures.

The driver will ensure equipment is well maintained, schedule adherence is observed, and appropriate records are kept.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Must be 21 years of age or older and have excellent customer service skills.
• Driver history must comply with Sanford driver qualification standards for insurability.
• The employee must have a current valid driver’s license, and must meet all medical guidelines for Sanford Health Category II drivers.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. If not certified at time of hire, must be certified within six months. Training will be provided.

• On a continuum the driver must develop an understanding of the patient's/resident's physical and emotional status.
