Job summary

Riverview Behavioral Health in Texarkana, AR is seeking a PRN driver to provide safe and timely transportation for patients, staff and visitors. This position supports admissions, discharges and daily operations with on-call availability.

You must have a high school diploma or equivalent and be fully vaccinated for Covid-19 as required by law. A valid state driver’s license and basic safety certifications are required to be eligible for this role.

Responsibilities

• Pick up or transports visitors or staff as needed.
• Transport patients for admissions and discharges.
• May drive company vehicle to pick up supplies or equipment as needed.
• Respond and adhere to on call schedule as required.
• Accurately and appropriately complete all transportation documentation.
• Maintain vehicle logs and report maintenance issues to appropriate facility staff.
• Ensure all company vehicles are kept clean.

We are a 62-bed psychiatric hospital that is dedicated to providing high-quality care for adults, geriatrics, and adolescents (ages 11-17) who are suffering from behavioral health and chemical dependency issues.

Purpose Statement

Provide efficient and safe transportation for patients to and from the facility

Essential Functions

• Pick up or transports visitors or staff as needed.
• Transport patients for admissions and discharges.
• May drive company facility vehicle to pick-up supplies or equipment as needed.
• Respond and adhere to “on call” schedule as required.
• Accurately and appropriately complete all transportation documentation.
• Maintain vehicle log(s) and report maintenance issues to appropriate facility staff.
• Ensure all company vehicles are kept clean.

Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.

As needed basis (days, nights, weekends)

Education/Experience/Skill Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• This role requires you to be fully vaccinated for Covid-19 based on local, state and/or federal law or regulations (unless a medical or religious exemption is approved).

Licenses/Designations/Certifications

• Valid State Driver’s License required with clear MVR. First Aid, CPR, de-escalation and restraint certification required (training available upon hire and offered by facility).
