A leading organization is hiring a Permanent Part-Time Bus Driver for their Children's/Transport Services. This role involves transporting individuals with intellectual disabilities and requires a full clean manual Irish Driver's Licence. The Brothers of Charity Services in Ireland provide a variety of services and supports to over 6,500 people with an intellectual disability or autism, and their families, throughout Counties Clare, Cork, Galway, Kerry, Kilkenny, Limerick, Roscommon, Tipperary, Wexford, and Waterford. The supports include residential, respite, day, host families, home-based, and multidisciplinary services, provided by nearly 6,000 staff with diverse professional backgrounds and experience.

Candidates must have a good general education, hold a full clean manual Irish Drivers Licence – Class D1, completed CPC examinations/modules, and possess the CPC Qualification Card, which must be available at interview.
Candidates should have adequate training and driving experience. Experience working with people with an intellectual disability is an advantage.
This post is permanent, part-time, and pensionable.
Driver employment is subject to the continuation of Brothers of Charity Services Ireland as a Bus Eireann contractor.
50 hours per fortnight, mainly rostered Monday to Friday. Weekend and evening work may be required. Shifts may vary based on the needs of the people supported, requiring flexibility.
HSE salary scale: €35,434 to €44,539 pro-rata per annum, effective from 01/03/2025, with 8 increments.
A 9-month probationary period applies, with possible extension or termination if deemed unsuitable.
