Responsibilities

Hampton Behavioral Health Center is a private behavioral healthcare facility providing advanced behavioral health and diagnostic treatment services for adults, adolescents, and older adults through inpatient and outpatient programs. Our mission centers on excellence in diagnosis, treatment, and education.

This position is per diem with a set weekly schedule. We seek candidates available Monday through Friday for either or both morning shifts: 6:30 am to 10:00 am or 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm (approximately 20 hours per week). The Driver's role involves safe and timely transportation of patients to and from appointments, therapy sessions, and programs. Physical capability to bend, lift, and assist patients with mobility restrictions (e.g., wheelchairs, walkers) is required.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate professionalism, compassion, and confidentiality when interacting with patients, staff, visitors, and physicians. Responsibilities include planning routes to minimize transport time and patient stay duration, ensuring safety and compliance with emergency and safety policies.

Qualifications
  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • Valid New Jersey or Pennsylvania driver’s license and insurance
  • Acceptable driving record verified through DMV; no violations
  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Ability to operate Hampton vehicles, including passenger vans and SUVs
  • Preferred: at least one year of experience transporting patients or working in a mental health setting
