Job summary

1-800-Pack-Rat LLC in San Jose, CA seeks a Box Truck Driver to load, transport, and unload household goods with care. You will work closely with customers, use basic hand tools, and secure items for safe delivery.

The role emphasizes safety, customer service, and on-the-job learning, with PTO and health insurance eligibility after 60 days, plus performance bonuses and daily tips.

Qualifications

• Valid Class C license with clean driving record.
• Ability to interact positively and professionally with customers, employees, and vendors.
• Ability to climb stairs daily.
• Ability to move furniture and lift up to 75 lbs.
• Supervise and lead others if needed.
• Home every day.

Responsibilities

• Drive a Box truck with the ability to tow a trailer.
• Disassemble & reassemble furniture using basic hand tools.
• Load trucks and containers with household goods carefully.
• Pack items securely for safe transportation.
• Mitigate damage and risk to client’s homes and belongings.
• Provide exceptional customer service to clients.
• Be coachable and willing to learn and share knowledge with others.

Driver Responsibilities:

• Careful packing of items to ensure safe transportation during the move
• Attention to detail and proactive mitigation of damage and risk to client’s homes and belongings
• Provide exceptional customer service to clients
• Be coachable and willing to learn, as well as share knowledge and experience with others
