Job summary

Blair Logistics, Inc. in North Carolina is seeking a Driver Manager to oversee the daily activities of our nationwide driver personnel. You will coordinate with load planners, assign work via McLeod, and guide drivers to meet safety, productivity, and on-time delivery goals.

This role emphasizes leadership, compliance with local, state, and federal statutes, and developing a satisfied, well-supported driver team. The position is Monday–Friday, 7am–5pm, with full benefits.

Qualifications

• Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or any related field or 1-3 years of experience in dispatch or fleet management
• Proficient experience with truck dispatch software
• Flatbed experience is a plus
• Microsoft Office knowledge
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Detail oriented with strong interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

• Communicate ETAs with load planners
• Utilize McLeod to assign work to drivers nationwide
• Direct daily activities of drivers to territories or dedicated operations
• Provide drivers with guidance on compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
• Ensure drivers are safe, productive, and deliver on time
• Counsel drivers and assist with over-the-road issues
• Assist drivers with updating documents such as licenses and drug tests
