Primary Functions

The driver will pick up and drop off items while adhering to assigned routes and time schedules. A reliable driver needs to transport items in a safe, timely manner, in conjunction with the customer satisfaction.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Loading, transporting, delivering and unloading items to clients or businesses in a safe, timely manner
• Reviewing orders before and after delivery to ensure that orders are complete, the charges are correct, and the customer is satisfied
• Assisting with loading and unloading items from vehicles
• Collecting payments for delivered items as needed
• Providing excellent customer service, answering questions, and handling complaints from clients
• Adhering to assigned routes and following time schedules
• Abiding by all transportation laws and maintaining a safe driving record
• Preparing reports and other documents relating to deliveries
• Operating equipment and machines, such as cars, trucks, forklifts, etc.
• Any other related duties as assigned by the management

Skills and Qualifications

• A good history of DMV/MVR record
• Possess a valid driver's license appropriate for the class of vehicle
• Experienced driving in winter and mountain environments, including snowy conditions
• Willingness to adhere to assigned routes, schedules, safety procedures, and transportation laws
• Strong time management and customer service skills
• Attention to detail
• Able to use forklift or pallet jack to move the pallets and/or products
• Successfully pass background checks including criminal history and drug screening

Physical Requirements

• Successfully pass physical exam and the Human Performance Evaluation on Lift, Lift-Carry, Push-Pull, Climb, Repetitive Posture
• Must be able to see and hear; must meet vision requirements: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, ability to adjust focus
• Must move frequently, stand, walk, and sit; use hands to touch, handle, feel, and reach
• Must lift and/or move up to 50lbs consistently and occasionally up to 75lbs; include repetitive hand use and pushing/pulling up to 50lbs
• Frequent bending and squatting are required
• Must be able to legally operate a motor vehicle and safely enter/exit the vehicle including rear cargo area
• Must drive at any time of day, including daylight and nighttime hours

Education and/or Training

High school or GED equivalent. Proven box truck or at least 24 ft‑long truck driving experience.

Work Conditions

Office and warehouse environment. Occasional periods of standing or sitting for extended periods of time. Required wearing of appropriate PPE. Exposure to hot/cold weather and loud noises in a warehouse environment. Frequent computer and telephone use. Frequent communication with people throughout the day. Deliver products in inclement weather conditions.
