Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is hiring a NON-CDL Driver in Gustine, TX. The role offers weekly pay, comprehensive benefits after 30 days, and opportunities for career growth.

Primary duties include delivering dairy products in Central Texas solo routes with a reefer box truck, using pallet jacks and hand trucks, with a Monday–Friday schedule and 3:00 AM start. Drivers receive paid training, before- and after-hours support, 401(k) with company match, and paid time off starting Day 1.

Qualifications

• Customer Service experience required.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
• Pallet jack/hand truck experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive a vehicle within and outside company routes while adhering to safety regulations.
• Ensure compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations and agency rules, standards and guidelines.
• Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards.
• Maintain accurate records; loading/unloading freight or assist in loading/unloading when required by customer.
• Other tasks as assigned.

• Hourly Pay: $22.00 Per Hour
• Hours Per Week: 50 hours per week avg

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Minimum of 6 months of verifiable driving experience
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test
• Must have verifiable driving experience (*must be in like equipment if position being applied for is operating a straight truck or box truck):
• 6 Months experience in the past 3 years, OR
• 2 years' experience within the last 5 years, OR
• 5 years' experience within the last 10 years
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Must have a valid driver's license
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures
