Job summary

PALS OHIO, LLC. in Mingo Junction, OH is hiring a full-time transportation driver to pick up and drop off clients at Adult Living Facilities as part of the day program.

The split-shift schedule runs Monday through Friday, with holidays paid and health benefits available. You must hold a high school diploma or equivalent, pass the DOT physical, background checks, and a valid Ohio driver's license with clean record.

Qualifications

• Must successfully pass the DOT physical.
• Must have minimum High School degree or equivalent.
• Demonstrates proficiency in verbal and written skills.
• Ability to work with diverse groups and individuals.
• Must pass physical and Drug Screen.
• Must have valid Ohio Driver License and less than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Safely pick up clients from Adult Living Facility or other agreed location using a company vehicle.
• Safely take clients to Adult Living Facility or other agreed location upon completion of daily program.
• Insure safety of clients at all times during transportation.
• Routinely check functions of van and maintain vehicle maintenance schedule.
• Insure all safety equipment is in good working order.
• Responsible for client supervision and documentation.

Schedule

A SPLIT SHIFT schedule means that you will drive a route in the morning, break for 4-5 hours, then return to drive a route in the afternoon.

POSITION’S ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Safely pick up clients from Adult Living Facility, or other agreed upon location, using a company Vehicle
• Safely take clients to Adult Living Facility, or other agreed upon location, upon completion of daily program using the company vehicle.
• Insure safety of clients at all times during transportation on and off the van (i.e. using a safety step)
• Routinely check functions of van and maintain proper maintenance schedule for the vehicle
• Insure all safety equipment is in good working order
• Responsible for client supervision/support
• Responsible for documentation, including but not limited to, Vehicle Safety Checks, billing sheets and other program documentation.
• Attend weekly technician meeting for additional training
• Interact appropriately and professionally with clients and the community.

Qualifications:

• Must successfully pass the DOT physical.
• Must have minimum High School degree or equivalent there of. Must have knowledge of the principles and practices of the discipline.
• Demonstrates proficiency in verbal and written skills
• Ability to work with diverse groups and individuals
• Must have appropriate experience and documentation capabilities
• Maintains current and annual training requirements
• Must successfully complete all criminal background screens as needed
• Must have valid Ohio Driver License and less than 6 points and provide BMV Drivers abstract.
• Must pass physical and Drug Screen.
• Must be able to safely drive a company vehicle
• Driving history must meet insurance carrier requirements
• Must have at least six (6) months of driving commercial vehicle.
