Job summary

Linde plc. is seeking a CDL driver based in Idaho to deliver cylinders and provide exceptional customer service. The role involves unloading, loading, and handling cylinders, with about 30% driving time and extensive vehicle inspections to ensure safety and DOT compliance.

Candidates must hold a valid Class A or B CDL, have Hazmat endorsement or ability to obtain within 60 days, and pass a DOT medical exam. English literacy and clean driving history are required to succeed.

Qualifications

• GED or high school diploma required.
• 21 years of age or older.
• Two years of driving experience or completed a truck driver training course.
• No preventable accidents, suspensions, or moving violations in the past two years.
• No alcohol-related convictions within the last ten years.
• Current medical examiner’s certificate or ability to pass a DOT physical.
• Valid Class A or B CDL is required.
• Hazmat endorsement on CDL or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire.
• Ability to read and write in English.

Responsibilities

• Provide high standard customer service during deliveries, including unloading cylinders.
• Drive approximately 30% of the day; rest of duties include deliveries, cylinder handling, shipping orders, paperwork, customer contact, and vehicle inspections.
• Accurately count and record quantities and styles of products delivered and picked up and complete Hazardous Material shipping orders per DOT/TC regulations.
• Placard vehicles according to hazardous material regulations and Linde standards.
• Conduct and report pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, and identify and ensure timely vehicle repairs and maintenance.
• Operate a variety of equipment and regularly interface with internal and external customers.
• Use handheld computers for customer transactions and compliance needs, following a route and sequence delivery plan.

• This role requires driving constitutes approximately 30% of the day, with the remainder involving deliveries, cylinder handling, shipping orders, paperwork, customer contact, and vehicle inspections
• You will need to accurately count and record quantities and styles of products delivered and picked up and complete Hazardous Material shipping orders in accordance with DOT/TC regulations
• You will placard vehicles according to hazardous material regulations and Linde standards
• This role requires you to conduct and report pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, and identify and ensure timely vehicle repairs and maintenance
• You will operate a variety of equipment and regularly interface with both internal and external customers
• Use handheld computers for customer transactions and compliance needs, following a computer-generated route and sequence delivery plan
