Job Summary

The Driver Merchandiser Assistant is a paid training position to obtain a Commercial Driver License through the Heartland CDL Training Program. Upon completion, placement into a CDL Driver position will be provided.

Job Responsibilities

1. Attend driver training program at Heartland Coca-Cola.
2. Complete the program satisfactorily and obtain CDL.
3. Complete company-specific training such as outlet training, driver handheld usage, customer service, and safety.
4. Maintain employment with Heartland Coca-Cola for at least two years.
5. Assist in distribution or warehouse tasks when not in training.

Job Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• At least one year of work experience.
• Preferred: retail customer service, merchandising, or warehouse experience.
• Meet program admission guidelines.
• At least 21 years old and eligible to work in the U.S.
• Valid driver’s license with a record within MVR guidelines.
• Completed knowledge testing and hold a Commercial Learner's Permit (CLP).
• Satisfactory background checks, including criminal, DOT drug/alcohol, physical exam, and MVR.
• Experience with powered pallet jacks preferred; ability to obtain PIT certification required.
• Proficiency in English, ability to read highway signs, and make report entries.

Physical Requirements

• Constant speaking, observing, and driving.
• Frequent typing, walking, bending, lifting (up to 50 lbs.), pushing, pulling, and climbing.

Pay

$19.50 per hour.
