Days/Hours of Work: Tuesday-Saturday 5:30am-3:30pm

Job Summary

The Driver Merchandiser at Heartland Coca-Cola is responsible for driving and delivering pre-ordered product to assigned accounts on specified routes.

Job Responsibilities

1. Delivers products to customers on assigned route. Merchandise, displays, and rotates products according to company standards. Picks up company property from customer locations and collects returns.
2. Uses computer technology to create customer invoices, collect money due, and settle all customer accounts daily.
3. Provides excellent customer service and meets customer expectations through communication, problem resolution, and appropriate follow-up.
4. Ensures compliance with regulatory and company policies and procedures including DOT regulations.
5. Collaborates with other departments to build relationships and ensure customer satisfaction.

Job Requirements

1. High School Diploma or GED preferred.
2. Minimum of one year of work experience required.
3. Local delivery experience preferred.
4. Must be 21 years of age and legally eligible to work in the United States.
5. Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) and a clean driving record within MVR guidelines. CDL license needs to cover both automatic and manual vehicles. Illinois residents must have a CDL issued from Illinois.
6. Prior experience using pallet jacks is preferred. Ability to obtain powered industrial truck certification upon hire is required.

Physical Requirements

1. Constant speaking with customers.
2. Constant acute vision for observing and reading documents.
3. Frequent typing using electronic devices.
4. Frequent mobility throughout customer locations.
5. Frequent bending, squatting, and lifting (up to 50 lbs).
6. Frequent pushing/pulling manual carts.
7. Frequent climbing in and out of truck cabs.
8. Constant travel between customer locations.
9. Ability to work in environments with varying temperatures.

Pay

$29.25 an hour
