Job summary

Piedmont National Corporation in Knoxville, TN is hiring a Driver/Material Handler to pull, pack, crate, and load/unload products and equipment onto trucks and trailers. You will also pick up and deliver loads and move items within the warehouse using a forklift and pallet jacks.

Under supervision, you will plan routes, inspect vehicles, maintain a clean work area, count inventory, and support warehouse operations while meeting safety standards.

Qualifications

• Graduated from high school or GED equivalent.
• 2-5 years of relevant driving and warehousing experience.
• Clean MVR for consecutive two years.
• Experience with sit-down lift and pallet jacks with good safety record.
• Experience or familiarity with packaging products and equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan routes for economical use of time, fuel, and equipment.
• Perform routine inspection of assigned vehicles and refer defects or repairs to supervisor.
• Maintain a clean truck, cab, and freight areas, plus organized warehouse.
• Count and examine delivered inventory for receiving.
• Monitor inventory for defective, returned, held, or damaged items.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by Warehouse Manager.
• Adhere to safety and security standards.
