Position: Fleet Driver Manager

Schedule: Mon - Fri / 12:00AM - 8:30AM

Position Summary

Promote and maintain a strong relationship with our primary customer, USPS, by monitoring key performance indicators related to contractual obligations, service fulfillment, on-time delivery, equipment and driver performance, and vendor relations. Manage driver relationships and fleet maintenance to enhance productivity and retention. Collaborate closely with drivers, customers, and internal departments to meet company objectives.

Essential Job Functions
  • Support ADP Time and Attendance entries for Payroll, ensuring validation and compliance.
  • Manage utilization of Fleet Management Tools, maintaining current data on fleet, drivers, geofence locations, etc.
  • Manage In-Cab ELD devices, including installation, upkeep, and troubleshooting.
  • Plan and update driver schedules, communicate changes, and ensure system data accuracy.
  • Oversee vehicle assignments and ensure adherence to DVIR policies.
  • Monitor and manage on-time reports, late slips, and extra slips.
  • Handle driver requests and issues after hours, manage callouts and recovery operations.
  • Support breakdown response and coordinate rental and fleet repairs.
  • Assist Safety with driver license and medical card expiration mitigation.
  • Coordinate employee accommodations, recruitment, onboarding, and retention efforts.
  • Ensure timely benefit applications and USPS postal badging processes.
  • Manage fuel cards and request driver profiles for TMS and ELD systems.
  • Enforce policies through coaching and disciplinary actions.
  • Report safety, security, property, yard, employee, assets, and cargo concerns.
  • Support USPS customer service and ensure dock presence for operational and safety standards.
  • Coordinate accident and injury mitigation efforts, including COVID-related directives.
  • Promote driver appreciation initiatives, including Driver of the Month nominations.
Required Skills and Competencies
  • Proficient problem solver, independent, adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
  • Computer literacy, including word processing and spreadsheets.
  • Willing to work overtime and weekends as needed.
  • Capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent listening, speaking, and professional communication skills.
  • Previous experience in transportation management preferred.
  • Knowledge of FMCSA and DOT regulations.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to handle stressful situations.
Schedule and Compensation

Ideal Schedule: Mon-Fri / 12:00 AM - 8:30 AM (flexible based on operational demand)

Pay: $65K annually, commensurate with experience, to be discussed during interview.
