Agate Steel in Arizona is seeking a dependable Driver/Maintenance Technician to deliver structural steel and materials to jobsites and also help keep vehicles, equipment, and the facility in good working order. You’ll drive local routes, load and unload, perform daily vehicle inspections, and assist with shop tasks.

The role requires a valid driver's license, ability to lift 50+ lbs, and a team‑oriented, safety‑first attitude.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (no CDL required).
• Ability to pass a health/medical exam to operate vehicles exceeding 10,000 lbs. GVW.
• Previous driving experience in construction, steel, or delivery preferred.
• Basic mechanical skills and willingness to learn.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work outdoors in Arizona conditions.
• Reliable, hardworking, and safety-conscious.
• Must be a team player who can take direction and have a positive mind set.

Responsibilities

• Drive company vehicles to deliver structural steel, materials, tools, and equipment to local and regional jobsites.
• Load, unload, and properly secure loads.
• Complete daily vehicle inspections and maintain delivery documentation.
• Communicate professionally with customers and job site personnel.
• Perform routine maintenance on company vehicles and trailers.
• Help maintain shop equipment and keep the yard and vehicles clean and organized.
• Assist with material handling and general facility upkeep when not driving.
• Follow all company safety policies.

Driver / Maintenance Technician

Agate Steel is a structural steel company looking for a dependable Driver/Maintenance Technician to join our team. This hands‑on role involves delivering structural steel and materials to jobsites while also helping keep our vehicles, equipment, and facility in good working order.

$29/hr to $32/hr Depending On Experience (DOE)

Driving & Delivery

• Drive company vehicles to deliver structural steel, materials, tools, and equipment to local and regional jobsites
• Load, unload, and properly secure loads
• Complete daily vehicle inspections and maintain delivery documentation
• Communicate professionally with customers and job site personnel

Maintenance & Shop Support

• Perform routine maintenance on company vehicles and trailers
• Help maintain shop equipment and keep the yard and vehicles clean and organized
• Assist with material handling and general facility upkeep when not driving
