Local Box Truck Driver Wanted

Requires Valid Driver's License

$20.80/hr. + OT

Monday - Friday

Routes start at 5 a.m.

Position Purpose:

The Medical Waste Route Driver services assigned accounts professionally, ensuring customer needs are met for waste pickup and supply delivery. This role emphasizes high customer service standards and may include transporting waste between Stericycle locations or to transfer/processing sites. All vehicles are equipped with telematics, ELDs, and GPS.

Key Job Activities:
  1. Manage routes to ensure timely, safe waste pickup.
  2. Transport waste safely, complying with all regulations.
  3. Plan daily schedules based on customer needs and provided paperwork.
  4. Follow routing software schedules.
  5. Prepare and load trucks, ensuring supplies are adequate.
  6. Unload trucks at designated sites, securing waste properly.
  7. Ensure waste is packaged according to regulations before transport.
  8. Provide excellent customer service, handling issues proactively.
  9. Secure waste and equipment prior to vehicle operation.
  10. Complete all paperwork accurately and legibly.
  11. Maintain logs and communicate route changes.
  12. Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle maintenance and report issues.
  13. Use ELD and Geotab to log hours per DOT guidelines.
  14. Perform other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience:
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum 6 months experience, preferably in driving shred/box trucks and route management.
  • Must be 21+ years old.
  • Valid driver's license (Class D or above) with a clean record.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Medical Examiner Card.
  • Proficiency in English for communication and reporting.
