Job summary

Qualifications

• Knowledge of state and federal laws governing driving privileges and licensing.

Responsibilities

• Interviews applicants to determine the type of license or identification required; verifies documents.
• Advises applicants on disqualifying issues and explains procedures to resolve them.
• Evaluates medical, physical or mental information to determine waivers or restrictions.
• Conducts vehicle safety inspections and administers tests to assess driving knowledge and ability.
• Maintains driver's license records in compliance with laws.
