What we do:
The Driver License section provides Colorado credentials to the citizens throughout the state which include driver licenses, instruction permits, commercial driver licenses, and identification cards.
A typical day in the life of a Driver License Technician Trainee:
In this trainee role, you will learn to ensure compliance with Colorado Revised Statutes and Federal laws, Department policies, rules and procedures in the issuance of Colorado documents to qualified applicants. Once you are trained and certified, you might have an opportunity to promote!
Primary Duties:
May be required to travel and work between multiple Driver License Offices. The successful candidate will be required to sit and stand for long periods throughout the day.
Residency Requirement:
This posting is only open to residents of the State of Colorado at the time of submitting your application. Applicants may be ineligible to apply for this position and subsequently disqualified if they do not have a Colorado address and a Colorado State issued Driver's License at the time of application.

Driver License Systems Fundamentals (DLF Certification):
Newly hired (or transferred) Driver License Technician Trainees are designated "in training" for the first year in this position. Driver License Technician Trainees receive Driver License Fundamentals (DLF) training and regular DLF skills evaluations. Before completing one year in position Driver License Technician Trainees are required to complete DLF Certification.

Employees are in a position of public trust in the performance of their job duties and must operate in a manner that maintains the highest standards of honesty, integrity, and public confidence.
As a condition of employment with the CDOR, all personnel must file all necessary Colorado Individual Income Tax (CIIT) returns and pay tax obligations, therefore all employees must undergo a pre-employment evaluation of their tax records/accounts to ensure compliance with this policy.
