DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This role helps support customer service and identity verification at PennDOT Driver License Centers by assisting with applications, testing, and information processing. As a Driver License Examiner Assistant, you will perform the following duties:

• Customer Greeting: Welcome visitors, verify identification, and provide forms and information
• Test Administration: Give knowledge tests and vision screenings to applicants
• Data Entry: Enter applicant information and test results into on-line systems
• Service Guidance: Answer questions and explain licensing requirements including REAL ID rules
• Document Processing: Prepare letters, scan forms, and correctly apply fee waiver codes when needed
• Worksite Support: Maintain a clean workspace, follow customer service policy, and travel to other centers when required

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

• Full-time employment, 40 hour/week
• Work hours are 8:15 AM to 4:45 PM, Tuesday - Saturday, with a 30-minute lunch.
• Overtime and travel to other driver license centers may be required as necessary.
• Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position
• Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non‑negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

• One year of experience obtaining, evaluating, and providing information to the public.
