DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position supports driver licensing operations by working directly with customers and ensuring accurate processing of applications and tests. As a Driver License Examiner Assistant, you will perform the following duties:

• Customer Interaction: Greet customers, verify identification documents, and provide needed forms and information
• Test Administration: Give standardized knowledge tests and conduct vision screenings using approved equipment
• Data Entry: Record customer applications and test results accurately in online systems
• Service Guidance: Explain licensing requirements for various products, including REAL ID, commercial licenses, and motorcycle credentials
• Document Processing: Produce letters, apply fee waiver codes correctly, and follow customer service policies
• Compliance Duties: Ensure proper handling of identity verification forms for non-native born and non-United States citizens

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

• Full-time employment, 80 hours bi-weekly
• Work hours are 8:15 AM to 4:45 PM, Tuesday - Saturday, with a 30-minute lunch. Work hours subject to change based on seasonal requirements and operational needs.
• This position will require travel and overtime as needed.
• Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
• Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

• One year of experience obtaining, evaluating, and providing information to the public.

Legal Requirements:

• This position requires the selected candidate to undergo and pass a Fingerprint and Name-Based Criminal History Check prior to employment.
