Job summary

Mitchell Wine Group in Bend, OR is seeking a delivery driver responsible for daily deliveries to customer stores and restaurants, and for picking up materials from wineries and warehouses. You will report to the warehouse manager and ensure proper payment documentation at delivery locations.

You will interact professionally with customers, meet schedules, load and unload wine, and maintain fleet vehicles. Overnight trips may be required; safety and accurate record-keeping are essential.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid driver's license.
• Experience driving a company vehicle (2–5 years) preferred.
• Safety conscious; follows safety rules and quality standards.
• Technical aptitude with basic tools, hardware, software and equipment.
• Detail oriented; identifies defects and ensures specifications are met.
• Organized; maintains clean, orderly work area and informs supervisor of issues.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills; able to work with minimal direction.

Job description

• This position is responsible for daily delivery to customer’s stores and restaurants, plus picking up materials from wineries and warehouses. The preferred candidate will also be responsible for receiving documentation of proper payment of material, at the time of delivery. The position will report to the warehouse manager.

What you'll do

• Interact professionally with customers during deliveries
• Safely meet delivery schedules on designated routes
• Load and unload product from delivery trucks
• Maintain fleet vehicles according to maintenance schedules including oil changes, cleaning, and general up keep of vehicles
• Stock and merchandise wines at retail stores
• Preform audit and checking in of wine with receiving locations
• Communicate with customer as to receiving proper payments at each location
• Understand driving regulations of location
• Maintain a clean and safe driving record
• Overnight trips may be required
• Perform other duties as required

Qualifications

• Maintain a valid driver’s license
• 2 to 5 years of experience driving a company vehicle preferred
• Safety – maintains quality standards and follows all safety rules
• Technical aptitude – skillful in the use of tools, hardware, software, and equipment
• Detail oriented – identifies defects and ensures compliance with specifications
• Organization – maintains a clean and orderly work area informs supervisor of any defective or faulty equipment or material
• Analysis & problem-solving: ability to work independently with little direction

Physical Requirements

• Ability to move product weighing up to 50+ pounds, including lifting, placing, pushing and pulling
• May require bending, twisting, and kneeling.
• Ability to drive a vehicle for extended periods of time
• Ability to work overtime as needed
