AdventHealth in Calhoun, GA, is hiring a Full-time Courier to handle daily routes delivering mail, supplies, and records while maintaining logs and providing excellent service.

The role requires a valid driver's license, English reading ability, and strong communication. Shifts include nights, weekends, and holidays; safety and coordination with internal dispatch are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Grad or Equivalent.
• Previous courier experience preferred.
• Driver's License required; Forklift and Electric Pallet Jack certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver mail, linens, documents, packages, specimens, and medical supplies on assigned routes.
• Maintain electronic and hard copy vehicle logs per department measures.
• Provide outstanding customer service and maintain respectful staff relationships.
• Work flexible shifts including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Ensure safety protocols and proper transportation procedures are followed.
• Coordinate with departments to meet transportation needs and track deliveries.

Job Description

• Responsible for performing daily assigned routes and on-demand duties to ensure accurate and timely delivery of mail, linens, documents, packages, biological specimens, medical supplies, equipment, and patient records.
• This position maintains daily electronic and hard copy vehicle logs of each stop in accordance with department performance measures.
• Additionally, this role actively participates in providing outstanding customer service and maintaining respectful relationships.
• In addition, this position is available for various and flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• This role contributes to the efficiency and effectiveness of transportation services.
• Adheres to all safety protocols and procedures during transportation.
• Communicates effectively with relevant departments to coordinate transportation needs.
• Operates transportation vehicles in compliance with traffic laws and organizational policies.
• Maintains cleanliness and proper functioning of transportation vehicles.
• Reports any vehicle maintenance issues or incidents promptly.
• Utilizes tracking systems and devices to monitor the status of transported items.
• Follows proper procedures for the transport of hazardous materials.
• Provides excellent customer service during interactions with staff and clients.
• Completes required training and certifications for safe transportation practices.
• Transports biological specimens, medical supplies, equipment, reports, patient care records, pharmacy preparations, and related paperwork according to defined schedules or urgent requests.
• Leverages technology to communicate with internal dispatch command center Ensures the security and proper handling of all transported items.
• Maintains accurate and timely delivery records for all transported items.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Ability to communicate effectively and the ability to work with people of various backgrounds.

Pay Range: $17.01 - $27.22
