Job summary

ALIGN PRECISION in Maine is seeking a dependable delivery driver to transport materials, components and finished parts between facilities and with suppliers/customers. The role requires safe driving, accurate documentation, and adherence to safety and quality standards. Daily travel is expected in ME, NH, MA in a company van.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of relevant experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and a clean driving record. Forklift certification is preferred.

Qualifications

  • 1–2 years of relevant experience in transport/delivery is preferred.
  • Forklift certification is preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

  • Review paperwork and verify counts for items transported.
  • Safely load and unload items using company vehicle.
  • Transport items to destinations in a safe, timely manner.
  • Maintain cleanliness and basic maintenance of the company vehicle.
  • Keep an excellent driving record and follow safety protocols.
  • Complete required paperwork accurately and on time.
  • Support inventory control by assisting warehouse staff when deliveries are not in progress.

Job description

Responsible for transporting materials, components and finished manufactured parts between company facilities, suppliers and customers while maintaining compliance with all safety and transportation regulations. Responsible for verifying loads for accuracy, securing cargo according to safety standards and delivery documentation. Maintains deliver logs and trip records in accordance with DOT and company policies. Supports inventory control by helping warehouse staff when deliveries are not in progress.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:


  • Reviews paperwork and verifies counts for all items to be transported

  • Safely and efficiently load and unload items using company vehicle

  • Safely and efficiently transport items required to destinations

  • Maintains cleanliness of company vehicle

  • Maintains maintenance of company vehicle

  • Must maintain an excellent driving record

  • Adheres to all safety protocols and company procedures, including handling of sensitive or high-value manufactured parts

  • Accurately completes all required paperwork

  • Abide by and support all safety and quality system requirements

  • Other duties as assigned


Qualifications:


  • Experience and Education:

    • 1-2 years of relevant experience

    • High school degree or equivalent

    • Forklift certification is preferred



  • Technical Skills:

    • Excellent attention to detail

    • Must have clean driving record

    • Excellent time management, organizational and customer service skills

    • Problem solving abilities

    • Strong teamwork and communication skills to get along with co-workers and be a team player

    • Understand and obey safety requirements

    • Commitment to keep work area clean and free of debris



  • Physical Requirements:

    • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50lbs or more

    • Frequently required to handle; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, bend, crouch or crawl

    • Specific vision abilities include close and distance vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus

    • Ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel, as well as reach with hands and arms for extended periods of time to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls.




Supervisory Responsibilities:

None.


Travel Required:

Daily travel in company provided work van from ME, NH, MA - back home daily.
