Job summary

Maersk in United States (Oakdale, PA) is seeking a Driver Helper to assist the driver with loading, unloading, and daily route tasks. You will help navigate deliveries and handle freight with care in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include using manifests, staging freight, and supporting safe operations with equipment like forklifts. Monday to Friday, 9:30am–6:00pm, benefits provided and accommodations available on request.

Qualifications

• Ability to read a map and general geographic knowledge of the area.
• Ability to lift 75 lbs. unassisted.
• Must possess good customer service skills.
• Must be able to work overtime as needed.
• Must be able to read and comprehend work instructions well.
• Must have the ability to work well with others.
• High attention to detail required.
• Must be able to lift 50+lbs. unassisted.
• Must be able to speak, read, and write in English.

Responsibilities

• Accurately load the daily route onto the truck
• Scan daily route onto the truck
• Assist driver with navigating to deliveries
• Assist driver with carrying freight to a business or residence destination
• Utilizing manifest to pull route, stage freight, and assist Drivers to load and unload trucks
• Material handling may include picking, packing, scanning, counting products and related duties
• Must ensure timeliness, packaging, and systems work is completed accurately
• Identify and annotate OS&D
• Safely operate warehouse equipment such as forklift and pallet jacks
• Read and follow detailed instructions in a fast-paced environment
• Ensure safe and secure work environment including TSA/OSHA guidelines
• Perform other duties as assigned
