Job summary

Heartland Coca-Cola Bottling Company, LLC is seeking a Driver Helper to support the Driver Merchandiser with route deliveries and merchandising. You will ensure product freshness and rotate stock at customer backrooms, while delivering excellent customer service on every account.

The role requires high school level education or GED, at least one year of experience, and the ability to travel between accounts. PIT certification may be obtained after hire.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum of one year of work experience required.
• Capable of traveling constantly between customer accounts.
• Prior experience with powered pallet jack preferred; PIT certification may be required.

Responsibilities

• Ride with the Driver Merchandiser to accounts on the route and help unload product.
• Merchandise, display, and rotate product according to company standards.
• Provide polite customer service through in-person communication.

Job Summary

The Driver Helper is responsible for assisting the Driver Merchandiser with route deliveries and additional merchandising of all products. Excellent customer service skills are required. Driver Helpers monitor product date codes and rotate our products to ensure the best quality and freshness for our customers.

Job Responsibilities

• Rides with the Driver Merchandiser to the accounts on the route. While at the account, helps transport product from the truck/trailer to the customer’s backroom or beverage area.
• Merchandise, display, and rotate product according to company standards.
• Provide polite and cordial customer service skills through positive in-person communication.
• Picks up company property from customer locations and collects returns

Job Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED preferred.
• Minimum of one year of work experience required.
• Capable of traveling constantly between customer accounts.
• Prior experience using powered pallet jack preferred. Ability to obtain PIT (Powered Industrial Truck) certification upon hire is required.

Physical Requirements

• Speaking: Constantly with customers (investigates, negotiates, recommends, reports, etc.)
• Acute Vision: Constantly (observing both near and far, reading documents)
• Typing: Frequently using electronic devices for day-to-day business (order confirmation, instant messaging, texting)
• Mobility: Frequent travel throughout customer locations (Walking in backrooms, aisles, greeting customers)
• Bending/Squatting: Frequently (lifting and placing product from the truck to the ground or from pallets to shelf)
• Lifting: Frequent- Lift 50 lbs. or less (full cases of product)
• Pushing/pulling: Frequent use of manual carts
• Climbing: Frequent entering and exiting the cab of a truck
