Job summary

UPS is seeking a seasonal Driver Helper to assist a delivery driver in the community. You will help deliver packages to homes and businesses and interact with customers outdoors while staying active and flexible with scheduling.

Shifts vary and may include Monday through Saturday, holidays, and peak periods. No driving of the brown truck by helpers is required. This is a great entry point to gain experience with UPS.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift, carry, and move packages up to 70 lbs.
• Sturdy boots or slip-resistant shoes suitable for outdoor work.
• Weather-appropriate attire for outdoor conditions.
• Flexible with day-to-day scheduling; Saturdays and holidays may be required.
• Authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Assist the driver with delivering packages to homes and businesses.
• Meet at a designated pickup location with the driver.
• Interact with customers in the community.
• Help ensure on-time and safe delivery of packages.

Ride Along with a Driver as a Seasonal Driver Helper

Looking for a physically active seasonal opportunity in your community? As a Driver Helper, you'll team up with a UPS package delivery driver to help deliver packages to homes and businesses. You'll spend your day outdoors, interacting with customers, and helping ensure packages are delivered safely and on time.

This is a seasonal position that requires your flexibility. Work opportunities are offered each morning based on operational needs and your availability. Schedules vary and can include Monday through Saturday, holidays, and peak delivery periods.

When assigned work, you'll meet your driver at a designated pick-up location (meet point), often near your home or within your community. Helpers do not drive the brown truck.

Please Note: This is a seasonal position; schedules vary from day to day.

What You’ll Need

• Ability to lift, lower, and carry packages weighing up to 70 lbs.
• Sturdy work boots or slip-resistant shoes suitable for outdoor work
• Weather-appropriate attire for outdoor work
• Flexibility with day-to-day scheduling, based on business needs and your availability
• Saturdays and holiday work required – depending on business needs
