Job summary

Ben E. Keith Company is seeking a driver assistant to support route deliveries across multiple stops. You will place products at each stop as requested and maintain accuracy with careful handling. Adherence to safety standards and professionalism is essential.

Daily duties include reading maps with the driver, reporting delays or incidents, and representing the company with a positive appearance and attitude. This is a full-time, on-site role in Texas.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must have a valid driver\'s license.
• High School Education/GED required.

Position Summary And Responsibilities

Education And/or Work Experience Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must have a valid drivers license.
• High School Education/GED required

Physical Requirements

• Able to perform repetitive lifting of over 50lbs., occasional lifting over 100lbs.
• Must be able to work in all types of weather conditions.
• Must be able to walk extensively.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time, bend at the waist, stoop, and squat to lift heavy items in a proper manner.
• Must have normal use of shoulders, arms, wrist, hands, feet and legs.
• Must be able to read numbers and product descriptions.

Driver safety is important to Ben E. Keith. We use dash cameras which leverage artificial intelligence to recognize safe driving, capture safety events and improve driver safety performance. The videos are also used to exonerate drivers in accidents. All drivers sign a driver consent form upon hire to confirm their understanding.
