Job summary

Performance Food Group is seeking a Delivery Driver, Helper Non Formula to support on-time product delivery and customer service. You will ride with a Driver, assist in routes, and help with loading, unloading, and documentation while maintaining safety and DOT compliance.

Responsibilities include assisting with accurate deliveries, placing items as directed by customers, and performing related tasks in a fast-paced distribution environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
• 6+ months in warehouse environment and interfacing with customers in foodservice.
• Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for past 3 years.
• Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Driver in the safe and accurate delivery of products to customers.
• Load and unload truck and/or company vehicles.
• Place products in areas identified by customers.
• Complete required documentation in a timely manner.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Position Purpose

Food and food service delivery Drivers fulfill a critical role in the country's food supply chain. Our delivery drivers not only make sure the customers' products arrive at their destination at the arranged times and in good condition, but they are the face of our company - building lasting relationships with our customers! As a Driver, Helper Non Formula, you will assist the Driver in every aspect of the product delivery to our customers.

The Driver, Helper Non Formula rides with and assist Drivers in the tractor trailer, tandem trailer and/or straight truck on intrastate and interstate routes for the purpose of delivering and/or unloading various products in a safe and timely manner and in accordance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. Communicates and interacts with customers, vendors and co-workers professionally ensuring questions are answered accurately and in a timely manner. Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and perform any duty assigned to best serve the company.
