Job summary

Farmland Fresh Dairies, LLC. in the tri-state area seeks a driver helper to support our transportation team. This entry-level role assists the route delivery driver with loading and unloading, helping to deliver to 15–20 customers on assigned routes.

You will use hand trucks, pallet jacks and lift gates, stay safety-focused, and work closely with drivers to ensure timely, courteous service. The company offers a CDL apprenticeship program and benefits including medical, dental, vision, time off

The driver helper is a vital role within our operation:

• This is a entry level position within the Transportation department. The driver helper assists the route delivery driver with loading and unloading of products on the truck.
• Delivers and stack merchandise on customer premises exercising excellent customer service and extreme safety precautions.
• Our drivers need the support of a physically strong and determined individual to assist with deliveries to 15 to 20 customers on an assigned routes.
• The helper safely assists with heavy and fast paced unloading of milk crates weighing over 40lbs each and other delicious perishable foods that are transported in our refrigerated straight trucks and tractor trailers.
• Our helpers become skilled at using hand trucks, pallet jacks, truck lift gates and electronic devices such as phones and handheld devices that are used to track our delivery process.
• The helper also assists the driver even as a passenger on the truck! Our drivers can make safer lane changes with guidance since a helper has a better blind spot view; also if the driver has to make a difficult backing, parking or turning maneuvers, the helper supports the driver by getting out of the truck and providing guidance.

BENEFITS : Base pay starts at $18/ hr. Earn up to $20.00/ hr with weekly performance bonus, Medical, Dental and Vision Plan, Time Off with Pay, and company sponsorship to obtain a CDL.
