Job summary

Food Authority, INC is seeking a Driver Helper to join our delivery team in the Maryland area. You will assist the driver with loading, unloading, and delivering products, verify counts, and help maintain product integrity while delivering a positive customer experience.

Eligible candidates are 18+, with at least 1 year of driver helper experience, able to lift 25–80 lbs, work in fast-paced conditions, and communicate effectively.

Qualifications

• Able to lift 25–80 lbs regularly and move merchandise.
• Comfortable working in fast-paced environments.
• Strong communication with customers and team members.
• Reliable transportation to and from multiple delivery sites.
• Minimum 1 year of driver helper experience.
• Must be 18 years or older to comply with safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assist drivers with loading, unloading, and delivering products.
• Verify product counts and ensure inventory accuracy.
• Communicate with customers and resolve issues professionally.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of vehicles and equipment.
• Operate hand trucks and pallet jacks as needed.
• Report incidents promptly and follow safety protocols.

Role Overview

As a Driver Helper, you’ll be an essential part of our delivery team, ensuring safe and timely transportation of food products to customer locations. You’ll assist the driver, maintain product integrity, and help create a positive customer experience.

What You’ll Do

• Assist drivers with loading, unloading, and delivering products
• Verify product counts and ensure inventory accuracy

Delivery Schedule: Deliveries operations run 7 nights a week, your schedule will include five-night within that schedule.
