Job summary

Food Authority is seeking a Driver Helper to join the delivery team in Jessup, MD. You will assist the driver, help ensure timely transportation of food products, and support customer experiences.

This role requires physical capability to lift 25-80 lbs, reliability, and at least 1 year of driver helper experience. The schedule runs five nights per week within a seven-night operation; competitive weekly pay and comprehensive benefits are provided.

Role Overview

As a Driver Helper, you’ll be an essential part of our delivery team, ensuring safe and timely transportation of food products to customer locations. You’ll assist the driver, maintain product integrity, and help create a positive customer experience.

What You’ll Do

• Assist drivers with loading, unloading, and delivering products
• Verify product counts and ensure inventory accuracyCommunicate effectively with customers and resolve issues professionally

What We’re Looking For

• Ability to lift 25-80 lbs. regularly
• Comfortable working in fast-paced environments and varying weather conditions
• Strong communication skills and team spirit
• Reliable transportation
• Minimum 1 year of driver helper experience
• Must be 18 years or older

Physical & Safety Requirements

• Quick response to sounds and visual cues
• Ability to move safely in confined spaces or uneven terrain
• Strong night vision and awareness of potential hazards

Delivery Schedule: Deliveries operations run 7 nights a week, your schedule will include five-night within that schedule.
