Job summary

Food Authority, INC is hiring a Driver Helper to join our delivery team in Melville, NY. You’ll assist the driver, help load and unload products, and ensure accurate counts and safe transportation.

Role Overview

As a Driver Helper, you’ll be an essential part of our delivery team, ensuring safe and timely transportation of food products to customer locations. You’ll assist the driver, maintain product integrity, and help create a positive customer experience.

What You’ll Do

• Assist drivers with loading, unloading, and delivering products
• Verify product counts and ensure inventory accuracy
• Communicate effectively with customers and resolve issues professionally
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of vehicles and equipment
• Operate hand trucks and pallet jacks
• Report incidents promptly and follow all safety protocols

What We’re Looking For

Physical & Safety Requirements

Delivery Schedule: Deliveries operations run 6 nights a week, your schedule will include five-night within that schedule.
