Position Overview

As a Medical Courier Driver, you will be responsible for transporting medical specimens from various locations to our laboratory facilities. Your role is crucial in ensuring the timely and safe delivery of these specimens, which directly impact patient care.

Pay Rate

$16.00 per hour plus mileage reimbursement.

Responsibilities

1. Drive personal vehicle to transport medical items including specimens and sensitive documents.
2. Load and unload medical items, ensuring proper maintenance and security.
3. Deliver items to correct destinations timely and according to routing specifications.
4. Interact professionally with customers and co-workers.
5. Maintain accurate delivery records and obtain signatures when needed.
6. Communicate with dispatch and management regarding delays or changes.

Qualifications & Skills

• Valid Driver’s License with a good driving record.
• Ability to drive personal vehicle safely and efficiently.
• Knowledge of GPS or maps for locating customer destinations.
• Strong reading, comprehension, and execution skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• High attention to detail and integrity.
• Command of written and spoken English.
• HIPAA compliance training will be provided.

Physical Standards
