For over 125 years, Catholic Charities Brooklyn and Queens has been providing quality social services to the neighborhoods of Brooklyn and Queens, offering over 160 programs and services for children, youth, adults, seniors, and those struggling with mental illness.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Transport older adult clients on scheduled routes to destinations such as senior centers, supermarkets, shopping malls, and medical appointments.
  2. Escort and assist clients from their homes to the vehicle and back, ensuring safety and comfort.
  3. Perform clerical duties including data entry, filing, answering phones, and mail distribution.
  4. Ensure passenger safety using seat belts, wheelchair brackets, and other safety devices.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Valid New York State Driver's License (Class D) and a recent driving record from the Motor Vehicle Bureau.
  • Must obtain defensive driving certification within 6 months of employment.
  • At least 1 year of driving experience with no more than one moving violation in 24 months and no DWI convictions.
  • Knowledge of local roadways.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
