Job summary

Futures Unlimited in Wellington, KS is seeking a Full-Time Driver to provide safe, dependable transportation for passengers and excellent customer service. This role begins with morning routes from Caldwell to the day service program in Wellington and continues with daytime service to the general public, ending with return trips to Caldwell.

Qualified candidates will have a valid driver’s license (Kansas CDL preferred) and a friendly, professional demeanor.

Futures Unlimited is seeking reliable, compassionate individuals to join our team as a Full-Time Driver.

In this role, you will provide safe, dependable transportation for passengers while delivering excellent customer service. Drivers play a critical part in supporting individuals in our community by ensuring they arrive at their destinations comfortably and on time. This position begins their morning route in Caldwell, KS transporting riders living in Caldwell to the day service program in Wellington. The driver then spends the day in Wellington providing transportation to the general public then ends the day transporting riders back to their home in Caldwell, KS.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate company vans and buses on assigned routes
• Assist passengers with boarding and exiting vehicles
• Secure mobility devices and ensure passenger safety during transport
• Provide courteous, professional, and respectful service

Physical Requirements

• Ability to independently enter and exit various vans and buses
• Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and crouch regularly to assist passengers and secure equipment
• Ability to push and pull individuals in wheelchairs when loading and unloading
• Ability to routinely lift up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds
• Ability to assist passengers and their belongings from origin to destination
