Job summary

UW Health in Madison is seeking a Driver to operate the health system fleet, delivering supplies, medical equipment, labs, and records. You will load/unload items, service customers, and ensure safety inspections and proper procedures are followed.

The role emphasizes excellent customer service, punctuality, and the ability to work with diverse stakeholders across multiple locations. A valid license and a willingness to meet schedule flexibility are required.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred.
• Delivery experience with multiple locations preferred.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and meet age/experience requirements (21+ or 3 years driving).

Work Schedule: This is a full-time, 100% FTE position. Scheduled hours are Monday through Friday, 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM, with some flexibility required. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department.

• Load and unload items for delivery.
• Work with both internal and external customers and demonstrate great customer service skills.
• Perform vehicle safety inspections and monitor the vehicle’s oil and fuel levels.
• Follow proper procedures and safety precautions while operating a motor vehicle.

Licenses & Certifications

• Must possess a current, valid driver’s license issued by the individual’s state of residence. Must be at least 21 years old or have a minimum of three (3) years of driving experience to operate a Personal Vehicle, Patient/Visitor Vehicle, or standard UW Health Fleet Vehicle (Required).
