Driver - Filler
Location: Houston, TX

Our Driver - Filler are responsible for safely and efficiently operating a local route delivery vehicle to deliver hard goods, compressed gas cylinders, and associated products to customer locations. In this role, you must be willing to communicate and cooperate with customers, respond to their needs, and operate the delivery vehicle safely in compliance with company and DOT guidelines. You will also be responsible for filling, labeling, and preparing low-pressure packaged gas cylinders, as well as operating and maintaining the cryogenic liquid filling system. This physically demanding role requires attention to detail and a strong commitment to safety.

Pay Range: $28.50 - $30.00 per hour, depending on experience.

What you will be doing:

• Providing excellent customer service during delivery, including unloading products, moving to the customer's point of use, and reloading empty cylinders.
• Driving as needed, including delivery, cylinder handling, shipping paperwork, customer contact, and vehicle inspections.
• Accurately counting and recording quantities and styles of products delivered and picked up.
• Completing hazardous material shipping paperwork in accordance with DOT/TC regulations.
• Placarding vehicle according to hazardous material regulations and Linde standards.
• Conducting and reporting pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Identifying vehicle repairs or maintenance needs and ensuring timely completion.
• Processing medical and industrial gas cylinders following established guidelines and procedures.
• Performing visual, physical, and odor tests on cylinders before filling, and determining if retesting or repairs are needed.
• Checking cylinder quantities, styles, and products, and filling as necessary.
• Loading and unloading products from weekly shuttle trucks.
• Operating and maintaining cylinder scales and related equipment.
• Preparing warehouse transfer orders and related shipment paperwork, and recording filled quantities in the computer to maintain inventory accuracy.
• Completing and maintaining quality control documentation per company and governmental procedures.
• Operating forklifts and other plant vehicles.
• Performing other duties as assigned.
