FCC Environmental Services, LLC is seeking a dedicated driver to safely operate commercial trucks and perform prompt and complete collection services in Houston, TX. You will conduct pre/post-trip inspections, follow FCC safety rules, and maintain routes with courteous interactions with clients and dispatchers.

The position requires a Class B CDL, DOT regulatory knowledge, and the ability to lift heavy objects. We value reliability, safety, and a strong work ethic in a team-focused environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Garbage/Recycling experience preferred.
• Class B commercial driver's license (CDL).
• Must meet DOT regulations.
• Clearinghouse profile required.
• Substance abuse testing required at onboarding and random checks.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre/post-operation checks on a commercial vehicle per FCC regulations.
• Operate vehicles on assigned routes including roads and residential areas.
• Operate controls and joystick equipment in safety compliance.
• Interact courteously with coworkers, dispatchers and customers.
• Monitor vehicle status to minimize downtime.

Position Summary

The driver position is responsible for safely operating a commercial motor vehicle and providing prompt and complete collection services.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Completes a pre/post-operation check of a commercial vehicle in line with FCC regulations to verify tire pressure, fluid levels, safety devices, gauges, and other components are in correct operating condition.
• Ensures commercial vehicles are safely operated on allocated routes that encompass roads, residential neighborhoods, and alleys.
• Ability to manually and/or automate controls and joystick equipment in compliance with the FCC's safety regulations and procedures.
• Engages courteously with co-workers, dispatchers, and customers to ensure that all services are performed in a timely and professional way.
• Continuously monitors the vehicle's status to ensure it remains operationally ready in order to reduce downtime.
• Completes necessary paperwork and other reports accurately.
• Maintains departmental productivity standards to ensure all clients are serviced in a timely and effective way.
• Follows and enforces all safety regulations and procedures.

• Must meet all qualifications as defined under Department of Transportation regulations
