Job summary

Chrysalis of Ogden, UT seeks Direct Support Professionals to drive individuals and staff to activities, appointments, and events. When not driving, you’ll assist in homes and other tasks, serving as a teacher, mentor and friend to participants.

You will work closely with individuals in day-program settings to enhance safety, respect, and quality of life, both in work and community activities, while maintaining accurate program documentation and a positive attitude.

Qualifications

• Must be able to pass a Criminal Background Check.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Must meet and stay in compliance with Chrysalis driving requirements.
• Capable of communicating well in both verbal and written form.
• Able to complete all assigned program documentation accurately and within the allotted time frames.
• Have good judgment and able to handle crisis situations.
• Have a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Drive individuals and staff to activities, appointments and other events.
• When not driving, work in homes and perform other tasks as assigned.
• Work with individuals in day program to create opportunities to improve quality of life in workplace and community.
