Job summary

Velney Task Force is seeking punctual, diligent demolition laborers to perform physical work on residential and commercial sites throughout Massachusetts. You will remove debris, assist crews, and safely operate hand and power tools. Training is provided, and reliability and teamwork are essential in a disciplined, high-performing demolition environment.

Job sites are located throughout Massachusetts. Applicants must have reliable transportation and be willing to travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently.
• No prior experience required — we provide training for motivated and coachable individuals.
• Previous construction, demolition, or job site cleaning experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform physical labor on residential and commercial demolition job sites.
• Remove debris, rubble, and materials to maintain clean and organized work areas.
• Assist operators, skilled trades, and crew members as needed.
• Safely operate and handle hand tools and power tools.
• Complete detailed final clean-up of work areas, including surfaces, fixtures, and flooring.
• Properly handle, store, and secure materials, tools, and equipment daily.
• Follow all safety protocols and immediately report hazards or unsafe conditions.
• Maintain constant awareness of surroundings to ensure a clean and safe job site.

• Must be willing to submit to a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
• Must be able to pass a DOT medical evaluation.
• Must be able to safely drive small and medium-sized box trucks.
• Previous experience in driving, general labor, demolition, loading, and unloading is helpful but not required.
• Perform physical labor on residential and commercial demolition job sites

• Ability to lift 50–70+ pounds regularly
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Ability to work around heavy equipment and active job sites
• Comfortable climbing ladders, working on lifts, and using scaffolding
• Must wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
