TaskUs is seeking a reliable Drivers - Data Collection to join our team. You will operate fleet vehicles on a major rideshare platform, collecting real-world data with mounted LiDAR and cameras while ensuring continuous, accurate data capture along routes.

Responsibilities include passenger rides, data system management, pre/post-trip checks, and reporting issues. Must have 3+ years driving with a clean record and be tech-savvy with strong customer service skills.

Qualifications

• Active US driver’s license with clean driving record and rideshare eligibility.
• Minimum of 3 years of licensed driving experience; prior rideshare, taxi, or delivery helpful.
• Comfortable with touchscreen interfaces and onboard hardware/sensors.
• Strong interpersonal skills and professional demeanor with passengers.

• Passenger Operations: Accept, navigate, and complete real-world rides via a rideshare app, ensuring safety and comfort.
• Data System Management: Ensure LiDAR, cameras, and data loggers are powered on and capturing data during shifts.
• Pre/Post-Trip Checks: Inspect sensor mounts, lenses, and hardware to ensure data quality.
• System Monitoring & Escalation: Monitor status displays; report hardware or software issues to the ops team.
• Safety & Compliance: Follow local traffic laws and TaskUs safety protocols at all times.

Role Overview

We are seeking a reliable, tech-conscious Drivers - Data Collection to join our team. In this role, you will play a critical part in gathering real-world mapping and sensor data used to advance autonomous vehicle and spatial mapping technologies.

You will operate fleet vehicles as an active driver on a major rideshare platform-accepting passenger trips via the app-while ensuring that mounted data collection systems (including high-definition cameras and LiDAR sensors) run continuously and accurately along your routes.

Key Responsibilities

• Passenger Operations: Accept, navigate, and complete real-world passenger rides via a designated rideshare application, providing a safe, professional, and comfortable customer experience.
• Data System Management: Ensure all vehicle data collection technology-including LiDAR, cameras, and data loggers-is powered on, calibrated, and actively capturing data during all operational hours.
• Pre/Post-Trip Checks: Conduct routine checks on sensor mounts, camera lenses, and recording hardware before and after each shift to maintain optimal data quality.
• System Monitoring & Escalation: Monitor hardware and software status displays while driving; immediately document and report hardware errors, sensor disruptions, or software bugs to the operations team.
• Safety & Compliance: Strictly adhere to all local traffic laws, TaskUs safety protocols, and rideshare platform guidelines at all times.

Basic Required Qualifications

• Valid Driver's License: Active US driver's license with a clean driving record (must meet standard rideshare driver eligibility requirements).
• Driving Experience: Minimum of 3 years of licensed driving experience (prior rideshare, taxi, or delivery experience is a strong plus).
• Tech-Savvy: Comfortable operating touchscreen interfaces, following technical troubleshooting checklists, and working around onboard hardware/sensors.
• Customer Service Focus: Strong interpersonal skills and a professional, friendly demeanor when interacting with passengers.

Adaptability

• Comfortable driving in diverse traffic conditions, weather, and light levels.
• Physical Demands & Work Environment
• Prolonged periods of driving and sitting inside a vehicle (up to 8 hours per shift).
• Occasional lifting or moving of light calibration equipment and checking exterior sensor mounts.

Pay $25/hr.
