Job summary

Job description

Responsibilities

• Pack, load, and unload delivery vans and trucks.
• Deliver food to customers on designated routes.
• Unload products and place items in the customer storage area.
• Maintain regular communication with route dispatchers or managers.
• Review deliveries with recipients to ensure accuracy and obtain delivery confirmations by having them sign the invoice.
• Clean and service the van or truck for the next delivery.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by management.

Compensation

Base pay plus site‑specific commissions.

Skills & Qualifications

• Valid driver's license appropriate for the vehicle class.
• Good DMV/MVR record.
• Current, or ability to obtain, a non‑exempt interstate DOT medical card.
• Strong time management, customer service skills, attention to detail.
• Willingness to adhere to routes, schedules, safety procedures, and transportation laws.
• Successfully pass a background check including criminal history and drug screening.
• Ability to use a forklift or pallet jack to move pallets and products.
• Passed a DOT physical exam and Human Performance Evaluation (Lift, Lift‑Carry, Push‑Pull, Climb, Repetitive Posture).

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to see and hear; specific vision abilities: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, adjust focus.
• Move frequently; stand, walk, sit; use hands to touch, handle, feel, reach with arms.
• Lift and/or move up to 50 lbs; occasional up to 75 lbs; push/pull up to 50 lbs; reach above shoulder.
• Frequent bending and squatting.
• Legally operate a motor vehicle; safely and frequently enter/exit vehicle and rear cargo area.

Education & Training

High school diploma or GED equivalent. Proven experience driving a box truck or at least a 24‑ft long truck.

Work Conditions

• Office and warehouse environment.
• Occasional standing or sitting for extended periods.
• Wearing appropriate PPE required.
• Exposure to hot/cold weather and loud noises in a warehouse environment.
• Frequent computer and telephone use.
• Frequent communication with people throughout the day.
• Delivery of products in inclement weather conditions.
