Purpose

Responsible for driving delivery vehicles and/or operating truck-trailer combinations to transport and deliver materials to customer sites. Adheres to driver safety/compliance regulations, delivers undamaged goods on schedule, and provides professional service to customers. Drive vehicles weighing greater than 26,000 pounds and may tow vehicles or trailers less than 10,000 pounds.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Load or assist with loading and securing products inside delivery vehicles.
2. Deliver customer orders to specified sites.
3. Maneuver vehicles into loading/unloading positions and ensure proper positioning.
4. Assist customers with unloading and ensure safety and accuracy.
5. Verify order details, maintain delivery logs, and check items against invoices.
6. Act as a customer service liaison, handle concerns, and resolve issues.
7. Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform routine safety checks.
8. Use handheld devices for DVIR and HOS compliance, maintain logs, and perform pre/post trip inspections.
9. Operate forklift or other material handling equipment as needed.
10. Observe all safety procedures to prevent injuries.
11. Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 21+ years old
• Valid driver’s license and Class B CDL
• At least 1 year of delivery driving experience; 2 years preferred
• Pass MVR and obtain DOT medical card
• Basic math and measurement skills
• Ability to read and speak English

Work Environment and Physical Demands

Work is performed in a production environment with temperature variations, noise, dust, and chemicals. Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds frequently and occasionally up to 200 pounds with assistance. Must be able to operate delivery vehicles physically and perform climbing, lifting, and pushing tasks.
